UPDATED January 22, 2021 We understand that due to travel restrictions, and health concerns, holidays may be compromised or cancelled for reasons outside of our guests’ control.
If you are a long time guest and must cancel your booking due to a COVID-19 related health issue or restriction, we will release the cottage for this year only. We reserve the right to fill the reservation for a cancelled cottage. If booked before March 1st, you will keep your right to reconfirm the same cottage and time for next year. The booking to a new family for this summer will only hold for the current year 2021.
If you are cancelling due to comfort level, then our current 90 days weekly and 30 days daily policy stands. This does not apply to families who must cancel due to a positive COVID-19 test or someone in their circle having tested positive for COVID-19.
For new guests from last year, please contact us before the March 1st deadline if you are interested in returning this year, we will do our best to look after you. These policies may change at any time, so to ensure you have the most up to date information please check out our Facebook page and this website.

POSTED April, 2020
We are in constant communication with the tourism industry and partners to discuss the best way to serve you, our guests.
We are keeping up to date with guidelines from the Public Health Agency of Canada, Ministry of Health, Public Health Ontario, and other local health care providers to monitor the risk and take protective actions in response to COVID-19.
We care deeply for our Clearview family. Our main priority is to protect the health and safety of our staff and guests. To protect those we care about, we will be unable to open the doors of Clearview for our original opening date of May 8, 2020.
We have created new policies for the 2020 season in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our opening date and these policies may change as we monitor the situation. We hope to communicate more positive news in the days/weeks ahead.
COVID-19 Policies
Deposits: Due to uncertainty of when we will open we will be waiving our standard 90 day cancellation policy. We will continue to hold all cottages and deposits with the hope that we will all be able to enjoy our time together this season. If we are unable to continue accommodating guests this year, we will refund your deposits at that time.
Bookings: Our current policy stands. Anyone who has booked a cottage this year is guaranteed the same cottage for the same time period next year; as long as a confirmation request is made before March 1 of that year.
We understand that due to travel restrictions, holidays may be comprised or cancelled for reasons outside of our guests’ control. If you must cancel your booking due to a COVID-19 related health issue or restrictions, we will release the cottage for this year only. You will keep your right to reconfirm the same cottage and time for next year.
We have decided to alter our usual policy for the year 2020, to accommodate the loyalty and relationships of our long time guests. If a cancellation occurs due to COVID-19, we reserve the right to take a new booking to fill the reservation for a cancelled cottage. However, if you currently have a cottage booked for 2020 and are forced to cancel due to COVID-19, and your usual cottage is booked to a new family this year, we will hold your original booking for reconfirmation for the year 2021. The reservation for this summer will only hold for the current year 2020.
For example: A guest (Family Historical) has booked a cottage for summer 2020, but is forced to cancel. The cottage is then rebooked to a new family (Family New) for this summer. During the booking period of 2021 Family Historical still has the first opportunity to reconfirm their original booking from 2020 (that they were forced to cancel) by March 1, 2021.
If the resort is closed during the time of your intended stay with us, your original booking will be maintained for reconfirmation in the year 2021. In addition, we will work to move your reservation to a later date this year in order to best serve you. If you move to a later date this year in 2020, we will still hold your original booking dates for next year in 2021, if you wish to resume that time period.
We understand this a difficult situation for everyone, please know we care and look forward to seeing you all again.
