Hello Brian & Rita, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

On behalf of the Warrior families I would like to THANK YOU both for the great hospitality you have showed us. We all had a great time and especially the kids - even with the rain Friday night they still had fun and didn't mention the word TV once! Imagine that! They had so much fun and they all want to come back in the summer time…the parents had just as much fun! Thank you so much for all your organizing and patience throughout the last few months!

Hi Rita and Brian,

A great big thank you for your hospitality from the Raiders, parents and families. We had a wonderful time at Clearview and enjoyed everything that you had to offer. The cottages, BBQ's, playground, waterfront and bonfire pit were an ideal set-up for us. In addition, we appreciated all your help and "added touches" - the marshmallows, roasting sticks, our team BBQ set-up, offers for ice cream and those much cherished early morning coffees!

As my son described it, "Mommy, this is paradise!"

We ALL had the best vacation we have had in years, despite the strange weather. Thank you for all that you offered our kids, having the opportunity to go tubing, ski & knee boarding was something they won't soon forget!!

Steph wanted me to attach a picture of her fish that she caught off of your dock, she didn't want to risk having it not make the trek up to the office, so she released it!

Dear Brian and Rita

…we purchased a cottage and therefore won’t be returning…We have enjoyed your hospitality over the last 16 years…

We will miss the many, many friends that we have made at Clear Lake and will miss your wonderful method of running your resort. It has always been such a relief each year to see that you care more for your guests than you do for quick cash and nickel and dime methods of other resorts. That is one of the prime reasons we decided to return to Clearview all these years. Your pricing has always been fair and the extra’s that you do for all of us have been outstanding.

Thanks for the opportunity that you gave Andrea and Scott to learn to fish, water ski, Kick the can, Hide and go seek, volleyball etc. and the best learning experience of all making lifelong friends.

We will certainly miss you Brian and Rita and your four wonderful children (Nick, Brianne, Jillian, and Clearview Cottage Resort). Yes we know that Clearview is a child to you as you nurture it every year and watch it grow.

After 17 years of vacationing at Clearview Resort, Linda and I finally decided to sit down with a pen and paper and put our thoughts in writing. You will quickly find that we are not poets, however we’ve had these thoughts and words in our heads for the past many years while in our lounge chairs watching Brian skiing for hours and Rita pushing that lawnmower around. We feel fortunate that Blair directed us towards your resort after giving up our power yacht. We still needed that up north fix and Clearview has more than met that need. We know it’s a lot of work to run a business and it’s demanding at times and I’m sure sometimes you wonder if it’s appreciated. Trust us it’s appreciated!

CLEARVIEW MEMORIES

When the last evidence of winter is gone
We can only anticipate that early spring spawn
There’s a place we so long to be
With lots of old friends we can’t wait to see

So we hook on the boat and pack up the truck
We’ll breeze through Toronto with a little bit of luck
Twenty green cottages all lined in a row
That’s what you’ll find at the end of this rainbow

There’s Brian and Rita, who’s cute as a button
They’ll do anything for you, they’ll stop at nothin’
They built us a hut to help us clean fish
It’s pickerel were hoping will fill up the dish

Tomorrow could be bass or even a perch
Over every weed bed were out on a search
With a tug on the rod and a pull on the line
I th9ink we got a walleye that feels mighty fine

There’s skiing, tubing and a campfire at night
Shuffleboard, horseshoes and much playing in sight
The spring northern lights take our breath away
And the shooting stars that have gone astray

With osprey, heron and wildlife of every sort
You know you’re vacationing at Clearview Resort
There’s the sound of bullfrogs and the call of the loon
And a whispering voice saying…”come back soon”

We love to fish and we’ll never stop tryin’
